One Brand Strategy.

Gaus is a nationally and internationally operating architectural firm with its headquarters in Göppingen and offices in Stuttgart, Kiel, and Rotterdam. The multicultural team of around 25 employees plans and realizes new construction and renovation projects for public and private clients.

Gaus serves multiple trades within the construction industry (architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture, and general planning), which the existing brand appearance did not fully convey quickly and simply. Furthermore, the strategic developments of the company had already advanced, and a holding structure as a vision for Gaus was being considered. Based on this idea and prepared for the future, the rebranding by Hochburg emerged under the maxim: One Brand Strategy. Gaus Architects became the brand Gaus. The drop, as a major highlight, symbolizes the gateway to the new Gaus world. While the company remains true to itself, it significantly enhances its visibility with the design assets from Hochburg.

This starts in the office with presentations and ends outside on the construction site, where large construction signs need to show who the architectural heroes are namely Gaus.

Turnkey thought out by Hochburg: The massive logo was derived from the floor plan of a house and stands as an image-word mark, minimalist in a light Bauhaus tradition. The key tool merges with a typographic and color upgrade, as is typical with Hochburg, to achieve its Whole-Circle effect, tactilely experienced and digitally perceptible. The CI can now appeal to new employees as well as shine on merchandise. Gaus gains clarity and uniqueness with the brand refresh and radiates even more emotion. The brand reaches the excellence of architecture, and we even won the German Brand Award 2024 with it.

Gaus enables its clients to handle the entire project process from a single source. They specialize in buildings for education, social, culture, and sports, or special buildings such as fire stations. Particularly, the work for fire stations represents a significant contribution to Gaus' economic success. The logical conclusion: to give these projects the necessary presence with a sub-brand, in order to appear even stronger than before as the absolute specialist to clients.
