Dietmar Schönherr Vernissage – Juli 2021

Hochburg as
Gallery pt.2

VERNISSAGE

After over a year of restrictions and isolation, it was time for action again. The Hochburg was quickly transformed into a gallery once more. Creative hub meets vernissage, round 2. With a detailed hygiene concept, of course. Together with Isabel Richardi from Richardi Events, Galerie Meinlschmidt, and artist Dietmar Schönherr, invitations were sent out. And the people came, in large numbers. A guided tour and background information about the various paintings were provided by the artist himself. From people to abstract to surreal, there was something for everyone. Dietmar has been working as a painter for about 30 years, studying drawing, painting, and printmaking under various artists.

The focus of his artworks is emotion, especially his own. Alongside expressive painting, he seeks balance in constructivism. Spontaneous and involuntary vs. disciplined and harmonious. Understanding his artworks often requires a second look, but from our own experience, we can say – it's always worth taking the time. A day full of sunshine, smiling faces, great conversations, art, and inspiration. It was fun again! And the bonus – Dietmar enjoyed it so much that we are now developing a new corporate design for him.

The new Brand

Away from the generic

A glimpse of the new branding. Hochburg designs what Dietmar Schönherr paints. Here oil on canvas. There color code on paper and screen. Here the artist’s handwriting. There the designer’s adaptation: a clean, modular design concept that gives the diverse artworks their own individual stage. However, it was important to Dietmar that his new personal brand has something entirely unique.

Not standing out at any cost – but away from the typical design zeitgeist in the world of artists and museums. Away from the (almost) generic, minimalist style often seen: Helvetica, Black and White, and a lot of white space. After long talks and intensive exchanges, a disruptive logo for a disruptive artist emerged – our "Dietman".
